Australian born Iris Ray Nunn partners with Englishman Rob Wildwood, to guide this unique tour in the Summer of 2024 to places which are heralded as amongst the most magical places of England.
Iris and Rob both share a passion for drawing close to the Natural World and tuning in to the wisdom inherent in the landscape. Sacred sites are of particular interest to Rob. He has written several books about the subject and his expertise has mapped the course our path will take together.
Mindfully we’ll walk together through sacred landscapes of Wiltshire, Devon and Conwell visiting classical ancient sites such as; Stonehenge, the Hurler & Ûn Stone Circles, Tintagel, Brent Tor and more.
Meeting in Swindon and heading for Avebury on the 12th we take our time over the following 8 days travelling towards the coast to stay in the quaint seaside town of Sennen overlooking the Celtic Sea. If the weather is warm, we will swim in the mystical Lydford Gorge.
We will hear folklore tales from enchanting forests like the Pixie Woods and absorb the serenity and sanctity of Swallowhead Spring, a place where we will enjoy quiet contemplation time connecting to the life-giving force which has connected us all throughout all the ages…fresh water.
Together we will visit Holywell Cave and step back in time alongside Sancreed Well built before Christian times as we imagine all who have come before us to drink from the well. Perhaps some of them may have been your ancestors.
There will be plenty of time along the way to roam the moorlands of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor and simply absorb the charm of the Cornish life in general.
