Private Uluru Retreats for Yoga and Meditation Teachers

A retreat often begins with a quiet question.

What might become possible if we gathered our community somewhere far from the usual rhythm of life?

For yoga and meditation teachers, Uluru and the Central Desert can offer a profound setting in which to pause, practise and listen.

And creating such a journey expands beyond choosing accommodation and placing classes into a timetable.

The experience requests care, local knowledge, thoughtful pacing and respect for Country.

You bring your practice

Your teaching and relationship with your community are the centre of the retreat.

Perhaps you offer yoga at sunrise, meditation beneath an open sky, reflective conversation, breathwork, creative practice or long periods of quiet.

There is no predetermined DLTN program.

Iris begins by listening to you.

What does your community need?

What is the intention of the journey?

How physically active should it be?

How much guided practice, rest and unscheduled time feels true?

DLTN supports the journey around it

Deep Listening to Nature can help shape the practical and nature-based experience surrounding your teaching.

Depending on the group and itinerary, this may include accommodation, ground transport, park entry, selected meals, mindful walking, sunrise and sunset experiences, local guides and cultural experiences where appropriately available.

You remain the teacher.

DLTN creates enough structure for your group to feel supported and enough openness for Country to be part of the experience.

Space is part of the retreat

It can be tempting to fill a retreat with valuable sessions.

In the Central Desert, space is also valuable.

There is wisdom in leaving time to rest after a walk, sit quietly with the landscape, share an unhurried meal or allow a conversation to continue without rushing towards the next activity.

The retreat does not need to continually produce an outcome.

Sometimes the deepest shift comes when we stop striving and become available to what is already present.

A journey shaped around your people

Private journeys may be designed for intimate groups of six to ten people or larger established communities.

The season, accommodation, transport, physical requirements and rhythm of the retreat are shaped around the people who will be there.

Most DLTN Central Desert journeys are planned between May and September, with selected October dates considered according to the group and itinerary.

Begin with a conversation

You do not need to have every detail decided.

Bring the beginnings of your idea, your preferred dates and a sense of the people you would love to gather.

Together, we can listen for the journey that wants to be created.

DLTN currently describes private journeys for groups of 6–10 or 15–40, generally between May and September, with DLTN supporting the itinerary and practical arrangements around the group leader’s work.
