How a Private Uluru Retreat with DLTN Works
A private retreat begins long before anyone steps onto the red earth.
It begins with listening.
I first listen to you: the people you hope to bring, the work you offer, the questions moving through your community and what is calling you towards Central Australia.
You may be a yoga or meditation teacher, coach, facilitator, artist, writer, healer or community leader. You may already have a group who trusts you and would love to travel with you.
What you may not have is the time, local knowledge or practical capacity to create the whole journey alone.
This is where Deep Listening to Nature comes beside you.
You bring your work
Your teaching, practice or intention remains at the centre of the experience.
Some leaders want time each day for yoga, meditation or facilitated conversation. Others want space for writing, creativity, reflection or simply being together away from the usual pace of life.
There is no need to force your work into a standard retreat format.
We listen for the rhythm that suits your people.
DLTN shapes the journey around it
Together, we consider the season, group size, accommodation, walking capacity, transport, meals and the places that may be appropriate to visit.
A journey may include Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Watarrka and other parts of the Central Desert.
There may be quiet sunrise walks, sunsets, shared meals, long pauses, time for your own program and Anangu-led cultural experiences when these are available and culturally appropriate.
The practical details matter because they allow everyone to relax into the experience.
And the schedule also needs space.
Country does not always speak according to a timetable.
The experience is created for your group
Small groups of six to ten people can travel with great intimacy and flexibility.
Larger groups of fifteen to forty can also be supported, with the accommodation, transport and facilitation designed around the number of participants.
Most Central Desert journeys take place between May and September, with selected October dates considered according to conditions and itinerary.
We begin with a conversation
You do not need to arrive with a finished plan.
Bring your group, your purpose and the beginnings of an idea.
We will listen together for the journey that wants to be created.
Perhaps you can already feel the beginnings of a journey for your own community.
